Were is San Carlos? click on this link Map of Sonora
San Carlos is located 325 miles south of Tucson and the simplest method of getting here is by shuttle, bus or car
Bus Lines:
Cost to Bus down to San Carlos on Tufesa Bus line is between $41 and $50 dollars one way.
The Tufesa Bus Line is locates at 5550 S. 12 Ave and their phone number is 520-294-3780
current departure schedule: 6:00 am 8:45pm 12:30pm 6:00pm 7:30pm 8:20pm 10:30pm 11:20pm (executive bus $9 dollars extra) 12 a.m.
Tufesa does not take reservations and is a first come first serve bus line. Buses are in great shape and you will be on the same bus all the way to Guaymas. I will pick you up at the bus station when you arrive and transport you to the boat you will be staying on.
Inexpensive Shuttles to Nogales walk across the border and hop on a local Bus from Nogales to Guaymas
Hop on one of the many shuttle services in Tucson that will take you directly to Nogales Arizona where you can walk approximately 100 yards to the border crossing. The shuttles cost around 25 dollars to get you to the border.
Once you have arrived in Nogales Arizona, simply walk across the border, clear customs and immigration and hop on one of the many regional buses for Guaymas that depart south every 15 minutes. These Buses are not as luxurious as a Tufesa bus but cost half as much money.
Get off at Guaymas and I will pick you up at the bus station which is a 15 minute car ride to San Carlos. Bus service from the Nogales Sonora to Guaymas costs around 15 dollars, I will soon list all of all the bus lines in Nogales.
Here is Sahuaro Roadrunner Shuttle service from Phoenix or Tucson to Nogales both ways http://www.mexicandoctorsdir.com/sahuaro_shuttle.htm This company has a coupon you can print up from their web site listed as an internet special for round trip transportation from Tucson to Nogales for $18 dollars. Pretty darn reasonable.
